Crittendon hits buzzer-beater to beat Creighton

By: Adam Purvis ~Staff Writer~ After last week’s play, the women’s basketball team is on a threegame win streak and tied with St. John’s for second place in the conference at 8-4. This past week the Musketeers went up against Providence on Feb. 5 and Creighton on Sunday while taking away two more home victories, leaving Xavier with the best record in the conference at home at 15-2. Overall, the team is currently 17-6. Tennis nets some wins

By: Adam Purvis ~Staff Writer~ Xavier’s tennis season has picked up since October. The men’s team had been scheduled to play in four tournaments so far but have only seen two due to the “Snowpocalypse” that hit just south of us. However, the women’s team has made it to all four of their tournaments. The two tournaments that the men’s team attended were at No. 10 Ohio State, which they lost, and at home against Morehead State, which they won. Volleyball’s season ends in Big East Tourney

By: Adam Purvis ~Staff Writer~ Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving Break, but while we were stuffing our faces with turkey and football, the volleyball team ended its season last Friday during the Big East tournament against No. 2 seed Villanova. Leading up to the Big East tournament, Xavier continued its three win streak by defeating both DePaul and Marquette at home and ended its season by winning eight of its last ten matches.
