Ukrainian cities suffer after Russian missile strikes

By Pat Gainor, Staff Writer At least 19 are dead and hundreds of cities are without electricity after several Russian missile strikes hit the Ukrainian cities of Kyiv and Zaporizhzhia last week. The attack came in response to a strike outside Kerch on the Crimea Bridge on Oct. 8, which connects the Russian mainland to Crimea. Crimea was annexed by Moscow in 2014, and the $3.7 billion bridge is vital to the transportation of military resources, as well as fuel and basic needs for civilians. Thousands erupt in protest following death of 22-year-old in police custody By Patrick Gainor, Staff Writer Protests began on Sept. 17 when dozens of women removed their hijabs and waved them in the air during the funeral of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini, who died while in police custody for not wearing her hijab  correctly. Bengals take down Dolphins on Thursday night football

By Patrick Gainor, Staff Writer The Cincinnati Bengals defeated the Miami Dolphins 27-15 on Thursday in front of a record-breaking crowd at Paycor Stadium. Joe Burrow followed up from last week with another solid game, going 20/31 for 287 yards and touchdowns to both Tee Higgins, who led all receivers with 124 yards on seven catches, and Hayden Hurst to put the game away late. Safety Vonn Bell also snagged two interceptions en route to a great defensive stand holding Miami to one touchdown.
