“See something, say something.” This is the safety motto on Xavier’s campus.

Xavier has multiple resources for students to reach out and report instances of discrimination, abuse and situations that make them feel uncomfortable.

The contact for the Bias Advisory Response Team (B.A.R.T.) is Jean Griffin, Dean of Students. The number listed for her on Xavier’s website is (513)745-3166 and she can also be reached by email at griffinj6@ xavier.edu.

The contact for the Title XI office, which is located on the third floor of the Gallagher Student Center, is Kate Lawson. The number listed for her is (513)745- 3046 and can also be reached by email at lawsonk1@xavier.edu. Students have the options to call XUPD at (513)745-1000, the emergency number, or (513)745- 2000, the non-emergency. Students also have the option to call and leave anonymous tips to XUPD officers.

If you feel you need to report an incident on campus, but do not want your name attached to the report, there is an anonymous tip website that can be accessed from Xavier’s website at https://secure. ethicspoint.com/domain/media/ en/gui/34090/index.html.

Xavier faculty, professors and student leaders, such as RAs, are trained to be mandatory reporters when they have been made aware of a situation that puts a student in physical or emotional danger.
