Five Cincinnati Must Do’s This Fall

By Ryan Ottiger, Newswire Intern

As the hot summer days start to finally fade away, the crisp fall air brings a new and different energy to Cincinnati. Whether it is festive celebrations, scenic park views or haunted attractions, Cincinnati has more than enough to enjoy this fall. Here are six local favorites.

Ault Park

When the leaves change color, Ault Park is the perfect onlook into plenty of fall foliage. From the park’s pavilion, there is a beautiful outlook into the autumn landscape surrounding the park. Ault Park also has plenty of trail systems, allowing anyone who wants to enjoy the new season to walk around and crunch the leaves beneath their feet. The park is host to its Great Lawn where fall lovers can hold a cozy picnic, throw around a football or simply just connect with nature.

Halloween Haunt: Kings Island

For any thrill seekers wanting to feel the Halloween Spirit, Kings Island is not short of festive activities. Thrilling roller coasters already fill the park, but the Halloween festivities like the haunted houses and spooky decorations add an extra thrill. The Halloween Haunt spans from Sept. 19 to Nov. 1, 2025, and beyond just the haunted houses, there’s mazes, scare zones and live shows. Overall, this is a perfect fit for those looking to get in the Halloween spirit that also enjoy thrills.

On top of the pumpkin patch, this farm market has its “Fall on the Farm” event that is open from Sept. 13 to Oct. 31, 2025. The event has hayrides, corn mazes, train rides, a barnyard, low ropes course, animal petting farm, shopping and even more farm games. This fall gem has something for everyone — no matter the age.

Jack O’Lantern Glow at the Cincinnati Zoo

Jack O’Lantern Glow at the Cincinnati Zoo is a unique and engaging fall experience for visitors of all ages. This event is highlighted by its half mile long interactive trail, where over 6,000 pumpkins and other beautiful fall displays light up the night sky. Halloween lights fill the trails and animal lovers may even see their favorite creatures carved into the glowing pumpkins. For guests spending the day or evening at the zoo, this unique event is the perfect way to conclude their visit.
