By: Adam Purvis ~Staff Writer~ While many of us were catching rays, traveling on AB trips or just trying to catch up on our sleep in order to get ready for the struggle that is the end of the semester, the women’s basketball team ended their season in the Big East Tournament on Mar. 5, the first Saturday of break. By: Donnie Menke ~Staff Writer~ It was a tough week for women’s basketball, dropping both of their games, losing 82-52 on the road against DePaul and losing on the road at Marquette 74-69. Xavier went into the game against DePaul with a three-game winning streak in the Big East. Xavier moved to 17-7 (8-5) on the season, while the DePaul Blue Demons improved to 20-7 (12-2). Imani Partlow was the team’s leading scorer with a career-high 11 points. Partlow was also the team’s leading rebounder, grabbing five boards.
