Baseball team chugs along

By: Paul Fritschner ~Staff Writer~ While Major League Baseball began its regular season games this past weekend, the Xavier baseball team continued to chug along with its season. During the past couple of weeks, the team has gone 3-6 while playing strong at home. The Musketeers traveled to Columbus on March 22, looking to extend their fourgame winning streak with a victory over the Ohio State Buckeyes. Despite a blitz of a start that saw Xavier jump out to a 5-0 lead, the team could not hold on in the latter portion of the game. Baseball ready to spring into action

By: Paul Fritschner ~Staff Writer~ It may be below freezing outside with snow still left on the ground, but it’s just about time to stock up on Cracker Jack for baseball season. Xavier’s baseball team is looking to bounce back from a tough season in 2015. It won the Big East tournament and earned an NCAA tournament bid in 2014 but stumbled to a 15-38 record last season. The Musketeers 3-15 record in the Big East left them to settle as the caboose in the conference.
