By: Tim Wilmes Senior cross country standout Clare Fischer competed in the NCAA Championship meet held in Terre Haute, Ind. on Nov. 23. Fischer finished 203rd overall with a time of 22:06.3 against a group of the nation’s top runners. The four-year Xavier star recently recorded her personal best time of 20:47 at the Great Lakes Regional. In the last cross country meet of her career, Fischer represented her university as the first Xavier runner to compete in the NCAA Championship meet. Cross country excels in Queen City Invitational

By: Chris Behler The men’s and women’s cross country teams had high expectations for the 32nd annual Queen City Invitational this past weekend. The teams exceeded their goals at the meet as the Xavier women, led by senior individual titlist Abby Fischer, took first place as a team. The men also placed sixth on the day collectively and fourth amid the Division I schools.
