A Successful Start for FC Cincinnati

The club plays at Nippert Stadium and has made substantial progress since it was founded. Currently, FC Cincy is in third place in the United Soccer League with 42 points. So far, we have had goalkeeper Dallas Jaye sign with the newly-formed FC Cincinnati as well as some of the basketball team desire to participate in the NBA draft combine. While Jaye does not have any eligibility remaining for his collegiate career, sophomore guard Trevon Bluiett and junior forward Jalen Reynolds each have some time left to either continue playing for Xavier or become professional athletes. FC Cincinnati begins play

By: Andrew Utz ~Staff Writer~ Cincinnati will be home to a new sports team this year with the hastened growth of FC Cincinnati (FCC), a Division III soccer team. The club was formed in August 2015 and has signed to play its home games in Nippert Stadium, home of the University of Cincinnati Bearcats’ football team. The team starts its inaugural season in the United Soccer League (USL) March 26 at the Charleston Battery. To kick off its campaign, FCC has signed two Xavier soccer alums.
