WSOC drops opener with Blue Demons

By: Jack Dunn ~Guest Writer~ The women’s soccer team dropped its conference opener to the DePaul Blue Demons after finishing up non-conference play with a win and a loss against Ohio University and Indiana University- Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), respectively. The team is now 6-4-1 on the season and 0-1 in Big East Play. The Musketeers beat Ohio 2-1 for their sixth victory of the season on Sept. 16. By: Adam Tortelli After an offseason move to the Big East, the women’s basketball team is in for an interesting season. With powerhouses Connecticut and Notre Dame now in other conferences, teams such as DePaul and former conference player of the year Brittany Hyrnko are looking to assume the empty throne. Xavier, Georgetown and Seton Hall will enter the season with new head coaches at the helm.
