Though Chris Mack’s team would’ve loved to win their first Big East championship, they still secured a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament and have plenty to look forward to heading into March Madness. The struggle is real as Xavier falls

By: Adam Tortelli ~Staff Writer~ Game summary: Xavier men’s basketball continued its historic season this past week with hard-fought victories over the St. John’s Red Storm and the Golden Eagles of Marquette University before dropping an ugly game to the Creighton Bluejays. Xavier entered its Feb. 3 matchup with St. John’s (7-18, 0-12 Big East) favored by 23.5 points, but faced much stiffer competition than expected in a 90-83 win. Redshirts ready to step up

By: David Woeltz ~Staff Writer~ When Cintas Center opens its doors for college basketball in a few weeks, some familiar faces will be looking to make their first contributions to the Musketeers. Edmond Sumner and Makinde London both sat out last year, but they will be able to add to Xavier’s depth and contribute immediately. Sumner and London were both part of the 2014 recruiting class, which was the deepest and most talented class signed by head coach Chris Mack in his tenure.
