Volleyball seeks to finish Big East play strong

By: Donnie Menke ~Staff Writer~ The volleyball team split its latest road trip, losing to Creighton on Friday and beating Georgetown on Sunday. The match against Creighton ended a five-match winning streak, as the team lost three sets to zero by scores of 25-20, 25-22 and 25-15. The first set was close, with nine ties and five lead changes, but Creighton went on a 7-2 run to close the set after the score was tied at 18-18. Women’s season ends

By: Andrew Utz ~Staff Writer~ In the final weeks of its season, the women’s soccer team ended with its highest winning season since joining the Big East. Its overall record was eight wins, nine losses and one tie, while its conference season ended with three wins and six losses. Over its last five games, the team ended with two wins and three losses. The Musketeers’ first stop was in Washington, D.C., against Georgetown. Through 70 minutes of play, the Musketeers held the Hoyas to a single goal.
