Good start for XU swimming

By: Kyle Isaacs Despite the calendar just turning to October, the Xavier men’s and women’s swimming teams kicked off their seasons this week at the Butler Fall Invitational in Indianapolis, Ind. The Musketeers competed in their first meet nearly two weeks earlier than they have in previous years, but this early start may help Xavier as the season progresses. The women’s team bested Butler University in the dual meet while the men’s team almost defeated Saint Louis University. Women’s club volleyball plays penitentiary game

Men’s soccer scores big against Kentucky Cats

By: Kyle Isaacs The Xavier men’s soccer team revisited history by defeating last year’s first round NCAA Tournament foe the University of Kentucky 2-1 on Saturday night. In the process of beating the Wildcats and securing their second straight home victory, the Musketeers improved to 2-3 on the season. The win also marked Xavier’s first victory over the Wildcats in Cincinnati in six attempts.
