By: David Woeltz ~Staff Writer~ Game Story: In a conference that allows little room for error, the Xavier Musketeers (19-2, 7-2 Big East) were able to secure a tougher than expected 86-65 victory at DePaul (7-14, 1-8 BE) after a sluggish start. It looked as if DePaul was ready to upset Xavier for the second straight season at Allstate Center after jumping out to an early 9-0 lead over the Musketeers. By: Brent Raines ~Staff Writer~ Xavier men’s basketball could not sustain its brief road success as the Musketeers fell to the Seton Hall Pirates 90-82 in a high-scoring, foul-plagued affair on Jan. 31 in South Orange, N.J. The loss knocked the Muskies to 14-8 overall and 5-5 in conference play, leaving them tied with DePaul for sixth in the standings. Men’s team stays strong at home

By: Ryan O’Toole ~Staff Writer~ As Xavier men’s basketball heads deeper into Big East play, the competition shows no sign of letting up. The Musketeers split their last two games, falling to the Villanova Wildcats and defeating the Marquette Golden Eagles. The Villanova game was a long one for Musketeer fans. The Muskies trailed 34-18 early and were trying to dig themselves out of a hole for the rest of the evening.
