Premier League soccer intensifies

Here’s a recap of last week’s noteworthy games that shifted standings in the league:  This past Tuesday, Manchester United (MU) maintained second place in the league by defeating Southampton 9-0.  In the 25th minute, forward Marcus Rashford scored giving MU a 2-0 lead. . Xavier soccer helps to bring awareness

By: Andrew Utz ~Staff Writer~ The Xavier Men’s Soccer team wrapped up the 2014-15 year when they hosted Northwestern in the fourth annual Devin’s Game on April 25. The cold and rain did not stop Xavier fans from watching their team battle through the night in a 2-1 loss. Freshman forward Matt Vasquenza gave the Musketeers a leg up before the end of the half. His half-field run gave Xavier the 1-0 lead after 36 minutes. The second half tipped in favor of the visitors.
