Bearcats to join Big 12

By Tyler Clifton, Staff Writer The University of Cincinnati (UC) accepted an invitation on Friday to join the Big 12 Conference, and 18 of the school’s varsity sports – including football and basketball – will begin competing in the conference no later than 2024. Invitations were also sent and accepted by Brigham Young University, the University of Central Florida (UCF) and the University of Houston.  This decision comes a few months after Texas and Oklahoma announced they would be leaving the Big 12 for the Southeastern Conference by 2025. Women’s soccer wins, improves to 4-0

By Will Pembroke, Show Manager Xavier’s women’s soccer team moved to 4-0 on the season with two impressive victories last weekend over Murray State University and archrival University of Cincinnati. Last Thursday, the Musketeers outdueled UC 1-0 on their home turf. Xavier picked up a road win over No. 21 St. Louis before beating Northwestern By Will Pembroke, Show Manager The Xavier women’s soccer team turned in a pair of excellent performances last weekend, showcasing the team’s potential for great success entering the season. Game One occurred in St. Louis versus the No. 21 ranked St. Louis University Billikens.
