Internet personalities and rappers Bhad Bhabie and Alabama Barker have been involved in an intense online feud over the last few months marked by snarky posts and diss tracks after Bhad Bhabie accused Barker of stealing her boyfriend.
Bhad Bhabie, whose legal name is Danielle Bregoli, is best known for her songs “Gucci Flip Flops” and “Hi Bich” and her infamous “Catch me outside, how ‘bout that?” phrase. Initiated the feud with an Instagram story post directed at Barker, back in December. She wrote, “@alabamaluellabarker took my man,” referring to her then-boyfriend, Le Vaughn.

Bhad Bhabie got her start on the Dr. Phil show. On the show, she was sent to a troubled teen camp called“the ranch.” After her experience on the show, she has advocated against the “troubled teen industry.”
Bhad Bhabie and Le Vaughn had been dating for a few years and the pair welcomed a daughter together last March. Last summer, the two broke up after footage was released of Le Vaughn being physically violent with Bhad Bhabie. By November, they had reportedly gotten back together following Bhad Bhabie’s blood cancer diagnosis.
She claimed that Barker had gotten with Le Vaughn while she underwent cancer treatment. Barker took to social media to address the controversy, establishing that Le Vaughn pursued her while asking Bhad Bhabie to address the situation maturely.
On Jan. 10, Bhad Bhabie dropped her diss track “Over Cooked,” produced by Le Vaughn. She made many accusations about Barker in this song, including that she had sexual relations with the rapper Tyga despite their significant age gap and was pregnant with his child. Barker and Tyga quickly denied these claims through various social media posts.
Nearly a month later, Barker released her diss track “Cry Bhabie” in response to “Over Cooked.” She called out Bhad Bhabie for her Instagram outbursts and for starting rumors about her.
Bhad Bhabie clapped back at Barker by releasing her next diss track “Ms. Whitman” on Feb. 25. The song’s title is in reference to famous character Alabama Whitman, a sex worker from the film “True Romance” after Barker was named. The song begins with the well-known and catchy beat of Ye’s “Carnival” and lyrics that directly call out Barker. Bhad Bhabie tears Barker to shreds with insults such as, “Them NFL boys ran the train on you, now you on the team” and ”I know your route, you’re reaching out, you need my name for clout.”
In the song, Bhad Bhabie puts Barker’s personal life on full display as she criticizes her family members, including members of the Kardashian family. Additionally, she reveals information about Barker’s sex life and disses her for her promiscuous behavior.
“Ms. Whitman” peaked at No. 56 on the Billboard Hot 100 and gained significant attention across social media platforms. The diss track has also sparked an online discussion about this ongoing controversy. Many online users have compared this situation to Kendrick Lamar and Drake’s feud by saying that “Ms. Whitman” is Bhad Bhabie’s “Not Like Us.”
On March 12, Bhad Bhabie released another diss track targeted at Barker called “OG CRASHOUT.” The music video features a Barker lookalike putting on makeup in a mirror to poke fun at her. Amid the buzz of this song’s release, Barker debuted her new relationship with Scooter Jackson.
“I think Bhad Bhabie won the beef,” sophomore math and economics major Andrew Schmidt said, “I think her lyrics were more powerful, stronger and empowering.”
Bhad Bhabie has ended Barker for now. Leaving fans wondering if Alabama was knocked out or if round 2 is around the corner?
