The Musketeers have turned their home matches into a showcase of power, precision and teamwork, earning themselves an undefeated streak at Cintas.
The energy inside Cintas Center this season has been electric. Each time the Xavier University volleyball team steps onto the court, fans know they are in for something special.
So far this season, Xavier has been on a roll. With an 18-2 overall record and a 7-1 mark in Big East play, the team has proven that its early success is no fluke. Their most recent home victory over Providence College Friars was a commanding 3-0 sweep, showing once again why Cintas Center has become a fortress.
They are also dominating outside of the final score. Xavier stays in control of every rally, every serve, and every defensive stand. They kept Providence on their heels, forcing errors and capitalizing on momentum.
A major part of Xavier’s success has come from the way they control the serve and pass game. Their strong serves create chaos for opponents and the clean passing keeps their offense fast and unpredictable.
The middle hitters have been especially effective, drawing the defenders in to leave their outside lanes wide open. To top it all off, back row play is quick to stop opponents before they can find their footing, limiting intense rallies.
The final results of recent games only support these ideas. Recently, the team has played some strong conference competitors like the Marquette University Golden Eagles and the DePaul University Demons, giving Xavier a challenging, yet beneficial test that has helped them grow stronger and more prepared for the rest of the season.
Balancing academics and athletics in college can be tough and many student-athletes find themselves under constant pressure to meet high expectations both on and off the court.
“This team has done such a great job of creating a joyful and positive environment that those stresses don’t really impact us the way they do other programs,” sophomore outside hitter Charlotte Moriarty said. “Our mindset throughout this season has been to make a statement by being relentless and all-out aggressive all the time.”

Charlotte Moriarty is an integral piece to an impenetrable Xavier home defense.
Moriarty’s words capture the spirit that has defined this Xavier team all season. Their ability to compete at such a high level while still keeping the game fun is what sets them apart. It is seen in their celebrations after every point, their encouragement from the sidelines and their drive to improve with each match. The team’s culture of joy and determination has become just as important to their success as their skills on the court.
The road ahead will test them, but as Xavier volleyball has shown up before, there is no doubt they will show up again. With two home matches this weekend against St. John’s University Red Storm and Seton Hall University Pirates and two more next weekend as well.
With college volleyball on the rise, Xavier stands as a source of pride for the university. Their home-court streak is not just about numbers; it’s about belief. Each win adds to the growing sense that something special is happening here.
As the season continues, the Musketeers are not just chasing victories; they’re building momentum, confidence and a legacy. Still, the team’s focus remains steady: keep improving, keep winning and keep protecting home court.
