Hate crimes have increasingly targeted Asian-Americans in the pandemic era By Alex Kelly and Mo Juenger, Staff Writer and World News Editor Xenophobic and racist hate crimes against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) have increased since the beginning of the pandemic, believed by many to be a result of COVID-19.
