CFJ sells T-shirts to fundraise for Typhoon Haiyan relief

By: Gina Carfagno In response to the devastation facing the Philippines post-Super Typhoon Haiyan, the Asian Pacific Society, with help from the Dorothy Day Center for Faith and Justice are selling t-shirts to fundraise for relief efforts. The proceeds from the t-shirt sales will go to relief in the Philippines.   Because there are students on campus who have family in the Philippines, the Asian Pacific Society wanted to come together to help people with those dealing with the aftermath of the storm.   The t-shirts are red with white writing. Center for Interfaith Community Engagement hosts

By: Gina Carfagno The Center for Interfaith Community Engagement is running a CD drive to benefit 12 students majoring in health services going on a medical mission trip to Guatemala over spring break. The CD drive will take place from now until late February, leading up to the trip. Donation drop-off boxes are located at the Gallagher Student Center (GSC) welcome desk, the Connection Center desks in the University Library and Conotan Learning Commons, the front lobby of Cohen and the entrances to Bellarmine Chapel and the Hoff Dining Commons.
