By: Emily Linginfelter ~Copy Editor~ The multimedia exhibit “A Blessing to One Another” retells the story of Saint John Paul II and his relationship with the Jewish community and continues to inspire audiences around the world after its start eleven-year journey. Its narrative began in 2004, when Dr. Yaffa Eliach, a Holocaust survivor and visiting professor of Xavier, proposed the idea to Dr. James Buchanan, Executive Director of The Edward B. Kristallnacht

By: Lydia Rogers Friday, November 8th, the Xavier community observed Kristallnacht (Night of Broken Glass) for its 75th anniversary. The Center for Interfaith and Community Engagement organized the event in front of Gallagher Student Center, where it displayed a large window with “Jude” painted on it in yellow. The window was set on a pile of broken glass as Xavier Students read the names of children who were murdered in the Holocaust.
