The Mount St. Joseph women’s basketball team defeated Hiram College 66-55. In October 2013, Hill was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, a rare form of pediatric cancer. Lauren Hill, MSJ to play opener at sold-out Cintas

By: Andrew Koch ~Editor-in-Chief~ Lauren Hill, a freshman forward at Mount St. Joseph University (MSJ) diagnosed with terminal cancer, will play her first collegiate basketball game in front of a sold-out crowd at Cintas Center on Nov. 2. Hill, a 19-year-old native of nearby Lawrenceburg, Ind., was diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer late last year after committing to play basketball at MSJ. Despite extensive treatment, doctors estimated that she had less than a year to live.
