Xavier tennis teams shut down Dayton

By: Lauren J. Young ~Staff Writer~ The men’s tennis team hosted rival Dayton on Saturday, coming out on top with an easy 7-0 victory. For singles play, Xavier senior Jimmy Roebker prevailed over Dayton’s Aidan Koross 6-4, 6-3. Senior Mesa Mei defeated Bernardo Sanson 6-3, 6-4, improving Mei’s overall record to 12-5 for the season. Xavier sophomore Adam Knoll also grabbed a win, defeating Dayton’s Josh Malyon in two sets 7-6(6), 7-6(2), impressively winning both set tiebreakers. This brought Knoll’s record up to 9-8.
