By: Andrew Utz ~Staff Writer~ The women’s tennis team is on a six-game winning streak as the season comes to an end, while the men’s team has secured a single win in the three games it has played since March 22. The women’s team defeated both Seton Hall and Providence at Seton Hall over the weekend of March 27. In the first match, the Musketeers defeated their hosts with a 6-1 win. In their following match, the team swept Providence with a 7-0 decision. Home stretch looms for tennis teams

By: Brendan Burris ~Staff Writer~ Over the last month, the men’s tennis team has won five of its last six matches and is gearing up for the final stretch of its season. With wins over Villanova, Western Illinois, Dayton, Abilene Christian and Wright State, the team is certainly hitting its stride and playing its best tennis at the right time in the season. The one loss, at home to the Marquette Golden Eagles, saw the Musketeers fail to pick up any doubles points and gained their two singles wins courtesy of sophomore Jeremy Schneider and freshman Gabriel Chaves Araujo. Spring season begins for men’s tennis

By: Brendan Burris ~Staff Writer~ After being swept by Ohio State (OSU), the second half of the men’s tennis season was off to a slow start. Since dropping the match to OSU, the team has now won five of its last six matches, with a close loss to Big East rival DePaul. In the six-game stretch, the Musketeers compiled a 29-13 record in all counted games. The team opened conference play early in the year, starting that part of their season falling to DePaul on Feb. 1.
