The baseball team’s season commenced over the weekend as it split a four game series with Troy University. Baseball team chugs along

By: Paul Fritschner ~Staff Writer~ While Major League Baseball began its regular season games this past weekend, the Xavier baseball team continued to chug along with its season. During the past couple of weeks, the team has gone 3-6 while playing strong at home. The Musketeers traveled to Columbus on March 22, looking to extend their fourgame winning streak with a victory over the Ohio State Buckeyes. Despite a blitz of a start that saw Xavier jump out to a 5-0 lead, the team could not hold on in the latter portion of the game. Baseball rides a four-game winning streak

By: Brendan Burris ~Staff Writer~ As spring has sprung around Cincinnati, the new season is now in full swing for the Xavier baseball team. Following a five-game losing streak at the hands of two top-10 national powerhouses in Vanderbilt and Louisville, the team returned home for its opening four home games of the season — a matchup against Miami (OH) and a three-game set against Central Michigan.
