By: Kevin Thomas ~Staff Writer~ For the second Friday in a row, first-years Donovan Moore and Patrick O’Rourke played a twohour set of acoustic jams just outside Gallagher Student Center (GSC) before a small crowd of students and passersby intrigued by the live music. Changes come to Xavier Yard

By: Tatum Hunter ~Editor-in-Chief~ Students can expect a new look for the Xavier Yard when they return for the fall 2015 semester. Physical Plant will be remodeling the open space surrounding Fenwick Place, Husman stage, Bellarmine Chapel and Alter Hall over the summer. Plans for the renovations have been in place since the creation of the 2005 Campus Master Plan. However, the impending reconstruction of Alter Hall made it necessary to leave the street connecting Cleneay Avenue and St. Francis Xavier Way open for construction traffic. Student groups sponsor the Week of Welcome

By: Jenny Mendoza The Week of Welcome (WoW) is a week of free events welcoming first-year and transfer students to campus and welcoming back returning students. Activities and events range from cookouts on the Xavier Yard to recreational sports tournaments to free entertainment such as concerts, comedians and much more.
