POLICE NOTES

Oct. 26, 11:14 a.m. — Xavier Police received a report of a person spray painting the word “yo” on the brick in front of the Commons Apartments. The suspect was identified and referred to the code of conduct.

Oct. 27, 1:13 p.m. — An employee reported that an unknown person damaged their vehicle, which was parked in the Husman Lot. Xavier Police is investigating.

Oct. 27, 10:46 p.m. — Xavier Police responded to Brockman Hall for a report of an intoxicated student. The student was deemed OK and spent the night in their room. Residence Life will follow up.

Oct. 27, 11:19 p.m. — Xavier Police responded to Brockman Hall to recover drugs and drug paraphernalia that had been confiscated by the hall director.

Oct. 28, 1:14 a.m. — Xavier Police responded to Brockman Hall for an intoxicated student. The student was deemed OK and spent the night in their room. Residence Life will follow up.

Oct. 29, 12:45 a.m. — Xavier Police responded to Husman Hall for an intoxicated student. The student was deemed ok and spent the night in their room. Residence Life will follow up.

Oct. 29, 1:18 a.m. — Xavier Police assisted Norwood Police with an intoxicated student at Regent Avenue and Cleneay Avenue. The student was cited by Norwood Police for underage alcohol consumption and disorderly conduct.

An Arizona rancher is selling his property because he claims to be bothered by the constant alien attacks (Oct. 27).

A Hawaiian judge has sentenced a man to write 144 nice things to his ex-girlfriend after violating her protection order and texting her 144 “nasty” text messages. The man was also given two years of probation, a $2,400 fine and 200 hours of community service (Oct. 30).

Due to a dispute between French retailers and dairy producers over the rising cost of butter, France is experiencing a butter crisis (Oct. 30).

A Japanese company will be giving non-smokers an extra six days of vacation for each year as a way to make up for the disparity in break times that smokers get (Oct. 31).
