Jan. 28 SGA Recap

Free laundry and textbooks — on a smoke-free campus?

  • BDA successfully arranged the logistics for free laundry for on-campus students starting Fall 2019 alongside ConneX. Further details are still being finalized.
  • The pilot textbook program that provided textbooks to current first-years in 2018-19 will be extended to include rising sophomores and incoming first-years in the 2019-2020 school year.
  • A proposed student handbook amendment would ban the use and sale of any tobacco or nicotine product on Xavier-owned property. The policy’s change is to focus on overall student wellness.
