Xavier Seniors to launch new app next spring

By: Lauren Young Seniors Tapuwa Chikwinya and Taron Foxworth work on launching Squeakboard, an event notification app, by second semester this school year. The app specializes in events that occur on Xavier University’s campus that are held by student-led clubs and organizations as well as those held by faculty, staff, and administration. Squeakboard was created due to lack of awareness when it came to events and activities held on campus. This absence of awareness wasn’t just seen in students, but also for faculty, staff, and administration. Student launches petition to expand CLC hours

By: Lauren Young Xavier University senior Andrew Elluru created a petition to extend the Conaton Learning Commons’ new hours. Ideally, the goal is to have the hours return to last year’s 24/5 policy. Elluru’s attempt can be seen as successful due to the Xavier weekly email that was sent out on Monday morning. The email’s first announcement was that the CLC’s hours would be restored to the original 24/5, but only for the finals weeks of the fall semester. Xavier issues new ALL Card

By: Meredith Francis By the end of the 2014 spring semester, all Xavier students are expected to have the new version of the Xavier University ALL card. The new ALL Card design comes after the university ran low on the material made to produce the old edition of the ALL Card, causing the ALL Card Center to reorder a new design. “While there were no major problems with the previous ALL Card other than a lack of supply materials.
