Climate Survey raises concerns about campus life

By: Erica Lampert ~Staff Writer~ While several students and faculty at Xavier feel the campus is a place to make lifelong friends, take risks, become a better person and create a new home, the Climate Survey taken by students last spring begs to differ. More than 60 percent of students here at Xavier have admitted to feeling disrespected on campus, and about half of the students feel ignored and isolated by peers. 64 percent of the staff hired here also feel as if they don’t belong and have thought about leaving at some point during their employment. Xavier joins Warrior Run

By: Regina Wright ~Staff Writer~ This October Xavier students, faculty and staff are joining campuses around the area by participating in the Warrior Run College Challenge for Week of Wellness on campus to raise awareness about mental health issues in the community. The Warrior Run will be held at 5:15 p.m. on Oct. 11, 2014 in Mariemont. The Warrior Run is a 5K race with a one-mile walk in memory of Jim Miller, a former staff member at Xavier University.
