Orrick blocked the Trump administration from enforcing its executive order to take federal funding away from sanctuary cities. Orrick sided with Santa Clara County, which argued that removing these funds from cities that don’t comply with some federal immigration rules could be unconstitutional. By: Regina Wright ~Campus News Editor~ World’s first face transplant recipient dies The first face transplant recipient, Frenchwoman Isabelle Dinoire, died after a long-term battle with cancer. Although Dinoire passed away on April 22, the hospital only recently announced her death on Tuesday in order to protect the privacy of her family. Dinoire suffered from two types of cancer, which her medication to prevent rejection of the transplant left her more susceptible to. By: Jessica Griggs ~Campus News Editor~ Two teens charged with rape in Arkansas Two 14-year-old boys are in custody after a 16-year-old girl accused them of forcing her into the girls’ locker room of an Arkansas high school and raping her. The boys are being charged with rape, but it is unclear whether they will be tried as adults or not. The superintendent of the school declined to release any information, including whether or not the boys had been expelled, but did confirm that the police were notified immediately following the incident.
