WBB breaks losing streak

By: Jack Dunn ~Staff Writer~ After suffering seven consecutive losses, most recently to Villanova, Seton Hall and St. John’s, the Xavier women’s basketball team picked up a win against Butler on Saturday, bringing its record to 11-12 overall and 3-9 in conference play. The Musketeers dropped a lopsided contest to Villanova on Jan. 22, losing 71-47. The Wildcats put the Musketeers in a hole early, outscoring them 20-9 in the first quarter alone. This double-digit lead held for the remainder of the game, as the Musketeers were unable to overcome the deficit. Women’s basketball finishes season

By: Adam Purvis ~Staff Writer~ While many of us were catching rays, traveling on AB trips or just trying to catch up on our sleep in order to get ready for the struggle that is the end of the semester, the women’s basketball team ended their season in the Big East Tournament on Mar. 5, the first Saturday of break. Opinion: Too early to panic for women’s basketball

By: Kyle Tooley ~Staff Writer~ The Xavier women’s basketball team looks to get back on track this Friday versus Butler, a team it has already found success against this season. Coach Brian Neal’s team is coming off a rough three-game stretch with losses at home to No. 25 DePaul and on the road to Seton Hall and St. John’s.
