The Xavier men’s and women’s track teams continued their indoor season as they traveled to the University of Indianapolis to compete in the UIndy Relays. This proved to be a great meet for the Musketeers; in addition to three new school records, 15 individuals set new personal bests.

On the men’s side, a team of distance runners consisting of freshman Grant Parrelli, sophomore Ryan Konstanzer and juniors Connor Buchholz and Corey Zielinski set a new school record for the distance medley relay.

The event is a relay with distance legs of 1200m, 400m, 800m and 1600m (one mile) respectively. The team finished with a time of 10:14, claiming fifth place and the top spot in the Xavier record books.

For the women’s team, junior Audrey Ramos and senior Anna Ahlrichs took control of the 3000m race, taking the top two spots while both recording personal bests in the event.

Success continued for the women’s team as senior Madison Riethman finished first in the 600m with a time of 1:41:35.

Senior Susannah Shelley also recorded a first place finish with a time of 2:19:53 in the 800m.

Senior Adrija Taraska and sophomore Onya Edwards also topped other school records.

Taraska threw a distance of 12.55m for 11th place in the weight throw, and Edwards finished second in the triple jump with a distance of 11.20m
