Guardians of the Galaxy
“Guardians of the Galaxy” tells of five unlikely heroes that band together to take down a villain, forming unconventional friendships along the way in this summer blockbuster. Chris Pratt as leader Peter Quill, a.k.a Star– Lord, Bradley Cooper as Rocket Raccoon, Vin Diesel as tree-like lifeform Groot, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer and Zoe Saldana as Gamora, work well together to ensure that “Guardians of the Galaxy” is every Marvel fan’s dream.

Gone Girl
On their fifth anniversary, Nick Dunne reports his wife, Amy, missing, only to have the media and evidence of her disappearance turn on him. Based on Gillian Flynn’s novel by the same name, “Gone Girl” weaves a dark, twisted story that leaves the audience wondering with whom they should be empathizing. Leads Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike are perfect for the parts of Nick and Amy and keep the audience regarding their true intentions throughout the film.

The Theory of Everything
Stephen Hawking, well-known physicist, was diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, at age 21, and it was estimated that he only had two years left to live. “The Theory of Everything” follows Hawking’s story from his early years at Cambridg, to his relationship with his first wife and
to his fight against the disease. Eddie Redmayne gives a spectacular performance as Hawking, having spent several weeks with the physicist, now 73, to gain a better understanding of the struggles, successes and failures of Hawking’s life.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies
The third installment of J.R.R. Tolkien’s “The Hobbit” leads the
audience through the conclusion of Bilbo’s journey as war breaks out to keep the Lonely Mountain from falling to the pale orc’s dark forces. Martin Freeman brings Bilbo’s character to life as he grudgingly accepts his role as the company’s thief.

American Sniper
As a sniper with deadly accuracy, Chris Kyle left the Navy SEALS a legend. “American Sniper” portrays Kyle’s struggle transitioning from the war zone to the calm of his family and home life. Bradley Cooper’s portrayal of Kyle, from the chaos of battle to the calm, sniper demeanor and through his frustrations with the unknown, give the audience an insight into the mind and trials of an American soldier. Upon returning home to his family, Kyle finds it is the war he can’t leave behind.
