SGA Notes: Mika Karikari Settles in as Director of Residence Life

By Rory McNelley, Staff Writer

Having been at Xavier for two months now, Director of Residence Life Mika Karikari came to speak with SGA about her transition to the new role and her hopes for the future.

“I am excited to join the Xavier family and turn a new leaf for residence life,” Karikari said.

She shared resources for students who need assistance living in the residence halls and explained that there is always an RA on duty ready to assist and a hall director on call 24/7. For non-emergency issues, students can email or leave a voicemail to residence life. Both are monitored daily.

“We are approachable, we are here to help,” Karikari said.

Karikari, a Cincinnati native, wants students to know that if they have any issues, the Department of Residence Life staff are happy to help. Students can visit the Office of Residence Life in the Musketeer Mezzanine.
