By: Gina Carfagno

Colleges Against Cancer, along with Relay for Life, is hosting its annual trick-or-treat event on campus in anticipation of Halloween at 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 30.

The trick-or-treating event acts as the club’s fall kickoff. This will give students the opportunity to learn more about Colleges Against Cancer as well as Relay for Life.

The club also puts on several other events and T-shirt sales. These events are to help raise money to fund cancer research.

The event will take place inside Fenwick Place outside the Hoff Dining Commons. Each committee for Colleges Against Cancer will have a table in Fenwick Place from which students can grab some candy and ask questions about the club.

Colleges Against Cancer hopes to raise awareness and prompt people to sign up for the Relay for Life event that will take place April 4, 2014. The club would like to see as many students as possible attend and trick-or-treat.

All students are invited to participate.

“Costumes are not necessary, but we would love to see people getting into the spirit of the event,” Colleges Against Cancer marketing chair Lauren Vaughan said.

To students interested in getting involved, the club recommends following Relay for Life at @XURelay and liking the club’s Facebook page.

The club will post information on future events will be posted to the Facebook page and Twitter feed.
