Xavier students, are you looking to get your freak on? If the answer is yes, you came to the right place. If you answer no, I’ve heard it’s okay to sin as long as you say your prayers afterwards. 

Xavier’s campus is quite underrated when it comes to uniqueness and beauty. There are many spots on campus where you might see luminous sunsets, ecosystems of lizards, squirrels and birds and an abundance of trees shedding their leaves for the winter. Within these beauties are hidden nooks and crannies where you can share secrets moments with a significant other or a situationship, or a friend if you don’t do labels! 

These are the top five best make out spots on Xavier’s campus: 

5. Elet Hall 

Most students will say, “the one up the stairs?” when they hear Elet Hall’s name. Yes, in order to travel to Elet Hall, you must travel up the steep, murderous stairs. But, the stairs make this the perfect spot. After school hours, no one in their right mind will want to go study in this Hall. And you might as well get a workout in before your workout (wink wink). Climb those stairs, find an empty classroom and have at it. 

4. The respective rooftops of the HUB and Smith Hall 

This one is an obvious choice, but if you go at the right time, you will have the space all to yourself and your “friend.” If you choose these spots, you are guaranteed alluring views and harsh, cold winds. The temperature has been slowly dwindling down, so bring a coat or blanket to share. Also, it is important to note that it is possible for pedestrian students to see your rendezvous from ground level. Please make sure you are hidden so as to not scar any innocent eyes.  

3. R1 Parking Lot

If you like living on the edge, this is your spot — assuming one of you owns a car and were able to beat out other Xavier students in a violent dash to an empty space. This dimly lit area can be the perfect spot for some harmless canoodling. Play The Weeknd’s B-sides and lean those seats back. Finally, watch out for fogging up your car’s windows. Don’t be Jack and Rose.  

2. Hinkle Hall’s Math Lounge 

Any of you smart cookies like getting it on in real academic settings? This is a spot for you! This dusty, mostly unknown spot will have you studying while you make romantic connections. The perfect 2–in–1! I recommend putting the tables together and laying blankets down. Just don’t fall off and hurt yourself. XUPD officers will be very confused when they uncover the scene.  

Honorable Mention: BLINK Fest this Week

Baby shut them doors and turn on those light displays! If you can find a love nest downtown with some sizzling red mood lighting, it would be a perfect place to bring your sneaky BLINK.

1. Picnic Table by Sand Volleyball Courts 

This one is a hidden gem. As long as the intramural teams aren’t playing that day, this spot is assured to be quiet and romantic. Other than splinters and falling leaves, there is not much else to worry about. The occasional car might drive by, but the picnic table is secluded by towering trees. Wearing all black is recommended for blending in. If you both don’t look like ninjas, then you did something wrong.
