Kerman will speak about the American judicial and correctional systems and will also be available to answer questions and sign copies of her book. Beginning in 2004, Kerman spent 13 months in FCI Danbury, a minimum-security prison in Danbury, Conn., after being indicted for money laundering and drug trafficking. Soccer plays in Big East final, will host NCAA game

By: Andrew Utz ~Staff Writer~ Despite a loss in the final round of the Big East tournament, Xavier will host the program’s first home game in an NCAA tournament against the Monmouth University Hawks on Nov. 20. The No. 11 Muskies (13-5-2) received an at-large bid for the NCAA tournament after falling to the Providence Friars in the Big East title match. America sees red: Republicans take Senate, retain House in midterms

While Democrats have had a majority in the Senate since the 2008 elections, Republicans were able to wrest control of the Senate by winning seven seats in Arkansas, West Virginia, South Dakota, Montana, Colorado, Iowa and North Carolina. The GOP maintains its majority in the House, which it has held since the 2010 midterm elections.
