Cincinnati’s wide variety of programs during the Halloween season offer something for everyone, from costume contests to haunted houses and even pumpkin picking. Luckily for Halloween lovers, Cincinnati is home to several of the scariest haunted houses in Ohio. By: Nick McGill ~Sports Editor~ Men roll past Cincinnati and Butler, fall to St. John’s Xavier men’s basketball went into the Crosstown Shootout on Feb. 18 looking to spoil the Cincinnati Bearcats on their home court. After narrowly escaping with a victory at Cincinnati, the Musketeers upset No. 19 Butler at home before losing by one to St. John’s on the road. As the Musketeers took the floor at Fifth Third Arena, the hostile crowd booed. Previewing the city’s biggest rivalry By: Adam Tortelli ~Staff Writer~ Feb. 18 marks another chapter in one of the greatest rivalries in all of college basketball as Xavier men’s basketball takes on its crosstown rival, the University of Cincinnati (UC) Bearcats. The matchup between Cincinnati’s two premier college basketball programs dates back to the 1928 season when UC came to play at St. Xavier College’s state-of-the-art Schmidt Fieldhouse.
