Music Department to host Christmas Ball

By: Mike Clark This Friday‘s Christmas Ball, run by Xavier’s Music Department, will allow students to stress less about exams and get into the holiday spirit. The Christmas Ball, the first of its kind here at Xavier, will feature free dance instruction, refreshments (especially desserts), door prizes, raffles, silent auction items, and music provided by XU Ensembles. It costs 12$/$20 for a couple, and will be held this Friday the 13th from 7:00 P.M. to 10 P.M. in Schmidt Hall’s Conaton Board Room. This Friday, three of Xavier’s seniors will be showing their work and hosting a reception with the Xavier University Art Gallery in the A.B. Cohen Center. Men’s soccer falls short

By: Kyle Isaacs The Musketeers fell to rival Butler University on Friday night by a final score of 2-1, then lost last night to the Bulldogs 1-0 at home in the first round of the Big East Tournament. The Friday night loss pushed the Musketeers’ record to 10-6-2 overall with a 6-3 record in the Big East. The defeat also caused Xavier to fall in the conference standings, the team with the third seed in the Big East Tournament.
