Xavier’s Title IX office will be screening the documentary film The Hunting Ground on Sept. 22 as a follow-up to the themes discussed in Slut Shaming, which was produced earlier this year. Slut Shaming, which kicked off the season for Xavier Theatre, was a stimulating piece by local playwright Trey Tatum that intended to evoke strong feelings about sexual assault and rape. ‘Slut Shaming’ unleashes harsh truths

Slut Shaming follows 15-year old Lauren Lucas before, during and after the night she was sexually assaulted at a high school party. Often referring to herself as a time-traveller, Lauren takes the audience with her as she revisits the night of her attack, along with other memories and flashbacks of people who come back to haunt her.
